Temporary Water Blocking Airbag for Municipal Water Supply Pipe Repair and Upgrade Projects
Urban municipal water supply pipelines are buried underground for a long time, affected by geological settlement, vehicle rolling, pipeline aging and external construction impact, and are prone to local cracking, damage and water leakage, which not only causes waste of water resources, but also affects urban domestic water safety and water supply stability. The traditional water supply pipeline maintenance requires overall pipeline shutdown and large-scale water discharge, resulting in wide-range water cut-off for residents and serious impact on urban life and production. Inflatable water blocking airbags realize segmented water stop and local maintenance, completely changing the traditional construction mode.
During the maintenance of water supply pipelines, workers only need to put the airbag into the upstream and downstream of the damaged pipeline section, inflate it to block the water flow, and carry out targeted repair, replacement and reinforcement operations in the local water-free section. It avoids full-line water cut-off and large-scale water discharge, minimizes the impact on urban water supply, and greatly improves the timeliness of pipeline fault maintenance. The water blocking airbag has high pressure resistance, which can adapt to the conventional water pressure of municipal water supply pipelines, with stable sealing performance and no water seepage or leakage during construction.
In the renovation and upgrading of old urban water supply pipe networks, water blocking airbags can assist in segmented pipeline transformation, realize orderly construction of pipe network optimization, valve replacement and pipeline connection, effectively improve the construction efficiency of water supply pipe network projects, reduce construction losses, and ensure the safe and stable operation of urban municipal water supply systems.
