Improve Quality & Efficiency for Culvert & Tunnel Construction! Construction Tips of Inflatable Rubber Formwork for Cavity Forming
Culverts and tunnels are essential supporting facilities for road and bridge infrastructure. The forming quality of inner cavities, drainage ditches and arch structures directly determines anti‑seepage performance and overall structural stability. Beyond bridge main structures, bridge inflatable rubber formwork is widely adopted as high‑efficiency inner mould for culvert lining, tunnel side ditch and arch culvert casting.
Traditional rigid formwork for culvert and tunnel cavity requires long lead‑time for customization with high cost. It performs poorly for special‑shaped arch and trapezoidal culverts, and easily causes hollow defects and uneven inner surface after pouring. Custom‑made inflatable rubber formwork expands evenly after inflation, adapting well to various irregular cavity sections. It effectively avoids concrete deformation, slurry leakage and position offset during pouring.
For central drainage ditches and side ditches inside tunnels, small‑size inflatable mandrels realize accurate positioning and easy installation. Demoulded ditch surfaces are smooth without secondary grinding and repairing, reducing follow‑up maintenance workload. For box culvert and arch culvert monolithic casting, large inflatable formwork completes cavity forming in one‑step, simplifying repeated form erection and removal and shortening construction period. With wear‑resistance, ageing‑resistance and reliable sealing performance, it adapts to open‑air site conditions and serves as cost‑effective material for quality improvement in culvert & tunnel projects.
